Ive had a 4770 for quite some time now (4890's at the time were nearly £200)

Question is would 4770 crossfired be better than a single 4890 at 1920x1080 res?

Ah I thought you already had the cf setup. I would sell the 4770 in that case and upgrade to a single 4890.

The 4770 will be very easy to sell as it's a very sought after gpu

yea i noticed the post about the new cards just after i posted, i think ill wait till then and either get one of them or hopefully price will drop on 4890 even more.

As for selling my card i guess the best place apart from the market here is a very well known auction site?

I think ill get another 4770, dont have to go though the hassle of selling my current one then, and the new cards i see being quite expensive. Thanks for the help

Selling 2 4770s will be even more of a hassle. I would just flog it and get a 4890 or wait for the new ones.

not to sure really. If i want to CF with ATI ill need a new mobo, which i kind of want since mine is a rubbish overclocker, can only reach 3ghz with a e6750. Just cant decide between new mobo & cf or just a better single card.

Just remember that twice as many GPUs is not equal to twice the performance, plus some games just don't like dual GPU's. Plus you don't get the total sum of the memory so 2x 512mb cards isn't equal to 1024mb of video ram its still 512 so it may struggle on higher resolutions.

I personally would go for the single gpu setup so flog the 4770 and get a nice new 4890 or sit on my money. As lets face it i don't believe there are any super graphics intensive games on the horizon so just see what the soon to be released cards shape up to be like.
