Why on earth do you want to do a PHd then 'start again' in IT ?
 
I don't think you're quite getting it, if you're able to get a PhD then there's no reason you'd have to work in IT. And to be fair you shouldn't want to.

Entry level IT jobs can and most will start from 20k. I'm saying not so much if you're good you'll be earning 40-50k, I'm saying after many years of experience, ultimately you can achieve that.
And even though I can do a Phd, does not mean I don't want to experience the IT world as I can be interested in two things at once, you know? I don't want my life to just revolve around psychology all the time. Seems like y'all are twisting my words a bit.

And doing any course imo wouldn't be wasting time, even if you don't end up in a career in it, at least you get the learning and experience from it, and qualifications. *end*

Then you talking about IT careers after potentially doing a PhD in something unrelated.

No, first of all, you're implying such knowledge must be impossible. I already have an A-level in computing, plus I never said I knew everything, I knew everything save programming. It depends on what you and me classify as everything.

I talk about an IT career because I'm interested in computing and psychology, which is why I took an A-level in both, but branching off to psychology in the end. You may think a phd is a great qualification, that doesn't mean it should stop me trying out other career avenues. 1) everyone is different 2) you should do something you really enjoy and 3) I enjoy both fields and so I want to try out careers in both.

I insult you all because I need to defend myself. You start calling me "dvdbunny" and then laughing that I'm a naive 22 year old...that's classed as an insult too you know?

You have an Alevel computing and you think that you know everything about computing bar programming. You're a moron, I'm sorry but that last post proves you are one.

I don't think you can even grasp what proof is....shows who the real moron is. I think I've heard enough from this forum, if a portion of users are unhelpful and immature like you. Small minded and only think you know best. You are probably one that scours every post people make looking for the tiniest mistake just so you can heckle them for it.
