It's impossible for me to be satisfied by just one thing, regardless of how well they may excel at it.
For meeting someone for the time, I'm sure hardly anyone would disagree that looks are of the utmost importance, but once you've gotten to know them, things like their intellect, sense of humour and other various attributes start to factor in.
Anyway, the things I treasure most in a girl, personality-wise, include: intelligence, a sense of humour, and that they're friendly.
Physically, and so what I look for when I first meet a girl, my requirements include: cute looking, nice smile, reasonably short being a fairly short guy myself, and, if possible--though not absolutely necessary--ginger hair.

Can't really narrow it down to one thing, but intellect is something I value pretty highly. Although seeing eye-to-eye on important issues like children is probably the most important in the long run. As it happens I'm fortunate enough to have a girlfriend with many desirable attributes.
