OcUK Mini Meet - Saturday 29th August - Eau Rouge!

Hi all

Seen as I know there are at least a few people from the forum making the trip to Belgium for the F1 at Spa, I thought it might be worth organising a little meet up on Saturday, have a beer, swap some banter, etc.

Suggested meeting place is Eau Rouge, or somewhere near (us poorpers with Bronze tickets cant get into the grandstand areas around La Source, remember

) at some point on Saturday the 29th August that isnt Morning practice or Qualifying. (Unless of course we are all poorpers with Bronze tickets and we want to meet on a bank somewhere to watch Qualifying).

Day 1: p1 and its Eau Rouge in the wet...(yes cars are gp2)

it clears up. and we get a great Views

Lewis in p2, at rivage, best corner to get close to the cars by far.

Day2: Pouhon for Quali

Wearing shorts so Legs were cold innit

Support races gave some great viewing..

The Nutter chopper pilot flies over head

Again, happy snappy so shhh with the comments about quality!

Any meet needs a group photo. Poor turn out for an OcUK meet tbh, but I blame the location

The "Using the fold up chairs as leg warmers" move deserves a second pic!

I prayed for rain, but apart from P1 it didnt come... TBH, I think ive got a bit of a tan!

Good to see that Honda F1 sold off there hospitality unit when they decided to sell up.

Pouhon filled up on race day. This pic is taken at about 9am!

Drivers parade

Kangaroo TV. For anyone thinking about getting one for a GP, they are brilliant and well worth the money

Wasnt just me who got bored waiting for Badoer...

The main video feed is shown on the big screens, and there was one infront of us (its what everyone is pointing at in the shots). Saw the guy in the yellow and black button flag and thought "hang on, thats that guy there infront of us, quick, wave an make faces!" lol.

I saw my flag at Silverstone when I went many moons ago but you'd never have been able to see our faces

I'm still recovering here, despite an awful trip down to Dover had a awesome time, atmosphere was superb all weekend. Watching the cars race through Eau Rouge is unreal.

Got almost a thousand photos to go through, though most of them are missing either the front or the back of the car or just empty track!

Will be back next year 'for sure'

And looks like you had a decent spot, were you in the grandstand on on the bank above the bus stop?
