Best Motherboard for i7

I agree with the above although i would buy the UD3 as ASUS need to get their rma policy sorted and with Gigabyte now based in Milton Keynes it, usually, makes for a relatively painless rma. Plus the UD3 is also a proven clocker but with fewer 'bells and whistles' to that of the UD5.

However, if you want to spend your £200 then the UD5 at ~£197 is a great buy.

Additional: This memory - link - has proven to be very compatible with the UD3 and as such is used in nearly all the OCuK bundles using the UD3/UD5 motherboard.

It's cheap, branded and and seems to sit very happily in a heavily clocked system.

If it's DDR3 stuff, there is a good chance of it being compatible. However, if you are thinking of going to the expense of adding waterblocks - you would be well advised to use atleast 6GB of RAM. The stuff Plec linked to is brilliant.

The UD5 seems to be a popular choice for around that price or the P6T deluxe v2, great for overclocking. On more of a budget the UD3R is also a nice choice.

I've not seen a waterblock set for the UD3

The UD5 has a set out by mips and another by ek. I'm going to go with the latter

No, you've only got the DSR for a warranty with OcUK and ASUS RMA service is shocking.

For this kind of money, buy a new board.
