IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey

Very impressed by the demo. Really enjoyed it, intuitive controls and very nice graphics!

Probably get it on rental or wait a few weeks for cheapness. :)

just got my new TV and i must say this looks even better, was on a 22" and it looked good, but tiny, 32"+ is definitely the way to go, almost feels like i'm in the cockpit.

hope my preorder comes a day or two early, i am ready to kill for this game XD

I'm just wanting the demo to hurry up and come along

Ok, the bad news is that the released game will not feature any cockpits in any of the German aircraft - the intention being to maybe add these as DLC later on. To me personally this is a deal breaker for the time being - but at least there will be some other titles out in the next few months to keep me occupied whist this one 'develops'

Damn shame though :(

lame, source?

it had better be ******* free DLC, i hate companies that release a half finished game at full price and then demand money for things that should have been part of the game already!

edit: found said source, ffs, this kind of thing really annoys me, the've laredy cut some of the completed planes so they could release them as DLC and charge more -_- goodness grief i wish this DLC business had never began, it's becoming more and more of an excuse for games producers/developers to do a half arse release and then charge more for little extra bits.

edit2: no need to get my knickers in a twist, it's been debunked by some of the admins on the il 2 forum, phew! there are german cockpits apparently.

No, really, there aren't - confirmed by the CEO of Gaijin - the Developers

They are aiming to add at least the Bf109 cockpit at a later time via DLC, but out of the box IL2 Birds of PRey will not have any cockpits for any German aircraft.

Not good.

well, that sucks, the moderators confirmed german cockpits and lock threads and then the ceo comes on and says there are no german cockpits? i'm starting to think i dont want to support their game if they cant even be honest with the paying public and can't produce a complete game out of the box.

If this is true, just another reason why I hate DLC. It's not as if these games are cheap to begin with.
