Gah, didn't expect them to increase the price. I've actually been looking for deals lately for a new arcade for the living room, guess I'd better get one sooner rather than later.
Guess I could wait for the Elite price drop and just get one of those instead and move my Premium to the living room

That is mighty weird - I thought they were stopping the Pro model and then supposed to be bringing the Elite price down to £159.99 to replace the Pro and counteract the Sony PS3 price cut? This paves the way for the Natal SKU to come in at the Elite price of £229.
A poor £ to € conversion rate does not suggest much decrease in the price of the PS3s either.

Whatever happend to the Wii price increase? If anything It seems to be cheaper now with instore bundles.
I still think the 3 consoles are priced pretty much the same all things considered. If I got an XBOX 360 I would want 2 wirless controllers, chargable battery packs and a charger, a 120GB hardrive and an online subscription. If I had a Wii I would want a 2nd Wii-mote, a 2nd nunchuck, again chargable battery packs and a charger. My brand new PS3 was £200 + £40 for the 250GB hardrive

You missed an extra PS3 pad (assuming you don;t want 2 DS3's) in your price comparison
Ah I did forget that. I do have 2 and the 2nd was a present but you see what I mean. I'm not knocking any of the 3 current consoles, I Just think the true price are very close. Too close to be a deciding factor

Payed £110 last year for my Arcade, with a copy of Halo 3, and a HDMI lead.

Very strange, it may be an arcade with a 60GB HDD if you see what i mean, the Elite will be the Pro with a 120Gb HDD and black with a price drop. Or it could be some confusing thing with a new elite with an even bigger HDD being announced at GC, be funny if MS announce a 360 slim and Sony dont announce a PS3 slim at all.
Another strange thing is according to the boxes leaked none of them come with any HD leads be it composite or HDMI, MS copying Sony again

Really? I struggle with a 120
Same here. Now that XBLA titles are getting bigger, disk ripping, and Games on Demand are starting to arrive, I don't know how I'd manage without the 120gb drive.
I want a bigger one.
The new one wont have one either apparently, just the standard one.
