selling a 97 nissan micra vibe, 99k on the clock, 10 month mot, tax untill end of august. good nick all round. how much do you think i should sell for? also what is the best place to sell - looked at ebay but fees are really high?!

I know someone who sold theirs recently, they put it up for something about £500, and it went in a couple of days. Could probably try putting it up for £650?

As long as you have a price on it as far as I am aware it's illegal. If however, you have a paper in the side window with your number on it I'm sure people will get the gist that the car is for sale and this method is not illegal but pushing it.

So it seems as though it is, strictly speaking, illegal. Can't really see it being a problem however, unless you get one knowledgeable, ******* of a copper looking to do more paperwork, for it to inevitably get thrown out of court.

Is that sort of thing specific to that council? I'm sure i've heard of a crackdown in Plymouth, but aimed at traders using the roadside, not private car owners.
