Order problem - Campmania.co.uk

Last monday I ordered a Gelert Quickpitch tent. I had an order confirmation saying I would get an email when the tent had been shipped and my card would be charged then.

I have had no emails from them even though i have emailed them 3 times from 2 different addresses. My card has not been changed yet. When I ring I am always 5th in the queue but hangup after 5 minutes.

The tent I ordered says that it is in stock and delivery estimates are 1 - 3 days

Where do I go from here? Do I try and cancel my order and buy elsewhere or wait to see if I get anything back from them? Is it possible for orders to just get lost in translation somehow?
 
damn. thanks for that. my order came to £53 but there are no signs of the money coming out of my account yet. Is it possible to inform nationwide about something like this to stop any order for £53 going out in the future? (or any order from them)

Just report your card as lost. Easiest to be honest.
 
Update - I had a reply from them saying they were very busy and my tent was being sent (airbed is out of stock) The tent arrived this morning.

My card has been cancelled and I now have a new one. Now I have 2 tents, time to sell one i reckon :)
 
Sorry, forgot to say (or said in another thread maybe) that I reported my card lost then bought one from argos. Then one arrived from campmania today who i thought are a fraud company but infact they just took ages to send my order. Loads of reviews saying people not got their goods, couldnt contact them etc and me the same.

They replied a few days ago saying my card would be charged but i have no idea how seems as i have a new card debit card now...
 
So each time you called you hung up after 5 minutes? That's not really that smart.

You said the tent was in stock, but did you check the airbed stock? Did you check their policy on sending all your things in one go?
This sounds like your fault all round to be honest.

They will have already made an authorisation against your account which, IIRC, can still be turned into a transaction even after you get a new card.

Emailed 3 times and called 3 times. After checking online reviews many people were having the same problems and some were waiting over 20 minutes on the phone.

Yes, both said in stock delivery 2-3 days. Took over 2 weeks to arrive.

How can it be authorised on my card if i reported it lost a week ago? Someone could have found my card, placed a load of orders then they can still be authorised
