G27 REVIEW!!!!!!!!!

TBH i would rather just buy a G25 at half the price....the improvements certainly dont warrant double the cost. they didnt seem to consider value for money in the review which should always play a part. if it costs twice the price of a g25 then it should be a fair bit better if they are going to give it a higher score.

the chick was lovely:p

To be honest, as a G25 owner im not fussed with the G27 coming onto the scene, The pedals for the G25 can be modded to be closer or further away, buttons on the actual steering wheel are a gimmick and 2 is more than enough with the buttons on the shifter, no Seq shifter is a let down, FF with the new gears again not much of an improvement, rip apart your G25 and grease the gears and its smooth and silent, the LED's well theres a number of addon units which add LED shift lights and Gear indicators.

If it was belt driven and had the Seq shifter still in place then it Could be a winner, but as it stands only people with more money than sense will get one.

All in my opinion that is.

Seems that way, that is what I will be upgrading to for the same games.

G25 looks dated in comparison.

Cool.

I sent them a email asking what their lead time is as both the wheel and shifter are out of stock. Will see what they say there and place my order.

It won't even be close to that. The G25 RRP is £279, haven't ever seen it above £200, let alone close to £300. I think it will be a safe bet that the G27 will be under £200, otherwise no-one will buy it.

As I said, it's just RRP. Anyway, there were plenty of G25's at £200+ and even £250+ back when it was released. That was 3 years ago, the prices dropped pretty quickly after the release. My actual point was that the recommended retail prices are absolutely garbage in Europe compared to USA. Dollar is 30% weaker than euro, yet they put HIGHER RRP on the euro wheel. Same with pound.

Anyway, one day after the G27 announcement, I decided to order myself a Fanatec 911 Turbo S. The price was pretty insane for my taste but what the heck, at least I now (well in 1-3 months..) have a wheel that supports all three major platforms.

Is that what they say is the delivery estimate? I better get ordering!
