Best headphones to use with Arma2 (no mic)

Currently looking for headphones, primarily to be used in Arma2. Wanting a high quality immersive experience with good direction awareness. Preferably not with a full, enclosed cup as my spark plugs (lugs) heat up when i'm gaming with my existing Sony closed cup headphones lol.

What would you lot recommend?

I'm looking for non closed cup as they heat my lugs up as i've mentioned

HD800 are open. So are HD650s. So are Orpheus, IIRC.

Custom IEMs wouldn't heat up your ears. Jerry Harvey JH13 Pro might be OK if you went down that route.

Just picked up a pair of Goldring DR100s for under £20, they're great, use them on ARMA2 daily

Audio Technicas would be the way i'ld advise to go for directional sound. Pick from the AD300, AD500, AD700 and AD900 to fit your budget.

although the Sennheiser PC350s have a mic, I think they're truly amazing.
