bfg 9800 gtx +

To the OP - unless there is a good reason to not get ATI - get this card and slap this awesome cooler on it. It will cost the same as the sparkle 275, be just as fast, but it will be much cooler and quieter (plus you could add a second in Crossfire at a later date).

If you are doing graphics work, have a look at this great value e-IPS monitor. It can't match the t220 for price, but its definitely worth the extra over the basic TN monitor.

Also, this motherboard is worth a look. It stacks up very well compared to the deluxe but its quite a bit cheaper.

yeah thats a very nice monitor i want it now thanks for the help and can the motherboard support 4x 2gb ram sticks, if so ill go for that and i probily go with that ati card id rather have some that aint as loud and adds the extra heat to my system

i like the idea of adding another card to crossfire but new cards always keep coming out its hard to keep up to date if ur a student

That is very true, but the way I see it - in a few months time you will have access to the members market and the DX11 cards will come out. You should be able to get hold of a second 4890 for an uber fast crossfire system for a good chunk less than £100 i'm guessing - which is pretty good value from where I'm standing.

whats the members market im new to the forum

The members market is a part of the forum you only get access to after 250 posts and 3 months registered I believe. It is a place where members can buy and sell stuff (usually PC components). As people are usually selling their old stuff, the prices to members are very nice.

thats cool well ill check it in a few months and thanks to everyone who helped me in the thread and thanks cmndr andi im probily going with the items youve posted

By the way, neither 3ds Max or any other 3D app can take advantage of SLI or Crossfire in any useful way, so dual graphics are only of use for gaming or multi monitor setups.

yeah that is true

but 780i's are problemmatic that's the only problem better still could get your hands on a GX2 :P
