indeed. While I certainly believe you should travel no faster than a speed at which you can stop in the distance you see, the notion of stopping before a blind bend, parking, getting out the car and walking round the bend to see if it's safe seems incredibly retarded, all the time not just 99% of the time, and I won't bore you with the reasons, I'm sure you're perfectly aware of them.
