Hi all,

My trusty BFG 8800GTX OC has died after almost 2 1/2 years use. Now I'm currently on my friends computer, as I dont have a backup graphic's card I can use.

Now, I'm pritty sure I've seen in the past the head of BFG UK (Jeff ?) on these forums while helping out fellow OcUK's with problem BFG cards.

Now I've had this card from new and still have the invoice from OcUK from Feb 2007, but I dont have the box the card came in. Does anyone think this might be a problem?

Also, with the 8800 no longer in production, what would I get as a replacement? As I paid £320 for the card when I first bought it back in 2007, would it be something around that value (275/285) or just the cards proformance? (eg 250/260?)

Cheer's

Sure it will be performance based so i dont think youll get a 260.

Not sure what the equivilent will be.

Jeff will be along :)

Your supposed to get the cards equivilent or more, nothing to do with cost.

My 8800GTX 768OC just died and I got the GTS250 512mb back, I'm not convinced its the same equivalent, plus others got the 9800 1GB/GTS250 1GB....how come I get the 512?

Please can you get in-touch with me Jeff?

i RMA'd a 8800 ultra OC not long ago and they replaced with a 260 standard which i'm not going to argue about. performance wise its unnoticable and stat wise its the same

My 8800GTS 640MB has died but I can't even manage to send it back, took them 8 days after I emailed them again with the information they required to give me an RMA number. I then get another email saying I have to complete this web form out, the first question is my what's my phone number but when I enter it it states "Sorry, records do not match" even though I've copied it straight from the email I sent them with it on.

I've emailed them back saying this but it's been 3 days and no response

I sent my XFX 8800GTX back to OCUK when it died (even though it was after the first year), three weeks later a new shiny GTX 260 (216) popped through my door. Was well chuffed :D
