I think it could look cool in a bedroom with other properly selected furniture and proper style (contemporary style).

Bed can't be to low as it doesn't make any difference while being asleep imo.

Definately too low for me. I like my beds to be quite high off the floor, making it easier to get out of bed in the morning when you really don't want to - mavity helps.

I thought I was the only one who thought this.

they all look dreadfully weak imho we got our futon from the futon company about 10 years ago, if you get a proper one you can use Tatami mats which make the mattress space bigger allowing for a huge futon mattress


ours is the same as this one here but when we got them they were made form Inodnesian rubber wood (IIRC)

I like the look of the Shalimar personally . I could do with a new bed actually, Ikea aren't exactly great quality
