DIRT 2 Demo Out Tommorow

If they sort out the insane braking then it'll be a good laugh :p 60 to 10 in less than a second on gravel just didn't feel all that challenging to me.

Release Date: 11/09/2009

I quite enjoyed the first after getting used to the handling. Really hated the bloody truck/lorry races though. I want more rallying, old CM style.

Was the first game as Americanised as this? Never bothered with it so didn't really know what to expect from this one.

First impressions are it looks and sounds great but it doesn't appear to have that much in common with the old style Colin McRae Rally games which I thought were awesome.

Also, are the cars meant to be as twitchy as they are? I'm constantly having to tap the steering to keep it on track which doesn't seem that realistic.

Can't say I'm overly impressed with it.

wtf is this, its just NFS with a hint of GRID but rallying, everything just seems over the top from the menus to the style of racing.

Pigeon_Killer I noticed that, so much understeer.

Been so long since I played them I can't really remember. Might just be a case of needing to get used to the controls then?

Seems like it. I was pretty wobbly the first few races and then got into it.

There are normal rally events in the game as well, I've a feeling the demo is from a slightly skewed point of view to get the American market more interested. Though I'll agree it does feel a bit ott.

Online seems far far better than DiRT 1 though. :)

Great presentation, great grafix, OK it's an arcade racer, but I like arcade racers as well as the Forza's of this world.

Getting this for sure, online looks like it's gonna be fun!

Well, first impressions are good, yeah its more "Americanised" has the feels on the menus of need for speed: Prostreet, which whilst not agreat thing is hardly that bad. Seems to be skewing more to american rallying style than UK stages, but the demo in the Eclipse was a lot of fun, and the Baja Truck racing, was, the same as Dirt 1.. awesome fun! I'm not the biggest rally boffin in the world, which is probably why the race selection and lack of intricate stage rallying as of this point, doesn't really bother me, its a good fun arcadey racer with a hint of a few simulation things, big crashes, loud and obnoxious, it'll be fun for a while I'm sure :)

Also love the integration that your avatar can have in the game, think mine about broke his neck! (You can have your avatar hanging from his/her foot from the rear view mirror as an ornament!)

This game is the best of the best GFX, Sound and gameplay what more could anyone wan't.

Will B getting this for sure on 360 then on PC for some DX11 goodness:D
