Are all Tyre Weld Products created equally

I know the Conti comfort kit gets a good write up. My wife works for them and it seems to win quite a lot of praise in magazines around the world according to their company paper. The compressor can also be used just to pump tyres up and if the tyre weld is used you just buy the refill catridge as and when needed. Not cheap though at £60.

as in foam?

dont bother

Why not?

Manufactorers roll out cars with the stuff in lieu of spare wheels so I think as a get you out of a hole backup it works. I'm not carrying a space saver and when the boot's got stuff in it I have no room for a full sized alloy anyway. It's either tyre weld for travel to the nearest Tyre dealer or flatbedded.

That ContiComfortKit product looks good, saves me needing a separate compressor/foot pump too. Will check it out more.

Can your wife get me some good prices? :D

LOL

She can get discount for 20 tyres a year but unless they are runflats it isnt a massive saving over the other premium brands equivalent products(certainly not for the Sport contact 3s compared to Eagle f1s anyway). The runflats are a fair bit cheaper though which suits me. Conti tyres just seem to be really high priced in the premium market and they let their other brands compete in the lower priced sectors.

Yeah it works but generally the stuff I have seen will ruin the tyre if it was repairable, and make a bloody mess of the alloy surface within.
