I'm guessing no myself but i was wondering it was possible. Plus it seems like there isn't many new 512mb ones around any more.

Plus on a different note, is it really worth it? will i see any major differences in game for what is going to cost me roughly £100.

You can, but the 1GB card will be limited to 512MB as the memory on crossfired cards is duplicated.

But more importantly performance wise? will it make a bit difference? atm i only game on a 1650x1080 monitor but plan to get a larger one in the next 3-6 months...

not much different mate.

i have 2 4850 512mb cards and all my games performance great at 1920x1200, even with AA, AF. but tbh i don't use AA.

with crossfire depending on the game you'll see between 80-100% extra performance..
