New Tarantino film coming this summer - Inglorious Barstewards*

I saw this yesterday, fantastic film although it did drag in some places and bits could have been cut down but even in those places the acting was bloody brilliant, the jew hunter was the best person in it, he was quite terrifying to watch!

Yeah limited releases are such a shame. They never showed Let the Right One In near here either. Had to go to either London or Ipswich which would have made it a £50 day out :(

Am i the only person who thought Death Proof was freaking amazing? All that build up and deliberation around the cafe table and then a solid 20 minute car chase? Plus you could tell the stunt woman who played the part was actually strapped to the front of a car at 70mph, it was just really nicely done and perfectly complimented the release alongside Rodriguez's Planet Terror (equally as awesome). the whole B Movie style (a la Evil Dead) was nailed perfectly!

Went to see this last night, first time i've been to the cinema in 10 years :o.

Anyway, whilst watching it, i sort of wasn't enjoying it (no fault of the film), it dragged a bit, but you can definitely tell it's Tarantino, it's quite greusome (sp) in parts, cutting scalps and scoring swastikas into foreheads etc. Pitt was funny in bits, especially his Tennessee / Italian accent ;).

For some reason, i decided it was good after watching it rather than during watching it and would go and watch it again.

Well, I didn't mind Planet Terror, it was fairly entertaining, nothing special. Death Proof I thought was really boring and predictable.

Same here, Death Proof was *exactly* what it was intended to be, a homage to the "Grind House" B Movie flicks of 60's and 70's America.

Just got back from this - an absolutely stunning film and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Go see it if you haven't it's amazing!

I'm generally not a fan of films over two hours long because they tend to drag but Inglorious ******** had me gripped throughout. Awesome film and I echo comments about Hans, the 'Jew Hunter', being amazing :D

Saw this tonight.

Absolutely brilliant. It was probably 30 minutes too long, but having said that I was gripped throughout.

The dialogue was first rate, and I love how the actors actually speak French and German. The guy who played the "Jew Hunter" did a fantastic job.

Ah man after hearing bits about this and reading this thread and a clear majority saying its either; brilliant, excellent or a good film I will be seeing it this weekend I think!

Just got back from seeing this. I thought the acting was superb, but the story was ridiculous and full of plot holes. The first half of the film was great, but then it just got really silly. It was like watching a kids film with loads of violence.

I want to say I liked it, but I'm not sure I can at the moment. :(

Edit: Actually no, thumbs down from me. There were several things started but then not finished, which annoyed me. For example I wanted to find out what happened to the French family at the beginning, a great bit of acting and scene setting from the guy playing the dad, and you think he's being built up to be a key character, but then nothing. :(

Actually I thought about that too. The way the opening scene was presented and dragged out I felt sure that the farmer would turn out to be a key character. I was genuinely surprised when he sold out the jews, I was assuming the daughters would jump in at some point with machine guns and take out all the Nazis.
