Screwed (Holes/bolts/coloured caps exist)
Screwed + Double Sided Stickied
Double Sided Stickied only

Is the double sided stuff strong enough to hold them on ?

Considering Screwing only however to make removal easy, 2 little sticky backed rubber feet on the lower edge should be enough to screw down and not have them flap around :D

Screws totally suck.

I used 3M Duallock I think it was called. It's industrial Velcro - they DONT come off unless you really pull, then they click off. Perfect for cleaning. Found it lying around the house.

Went to order some more... £60 a roll

You take off the number plate when you wash your car?

For a general wash? Nah.

But when the machine polisher comes out and theres accumulated crap/polish/wax/whatever around and just behind the edges of the plate I would want to make my life easier, yeah :p

Sellotape double sided pads. £2.39 from Homebase. Go now.

Indeed. I used "Sellotape Outdoor Sticky Fixers". Absolutely rock solid after 18 months now and all weather. Its going to be a job getting them off when i eventually sell the car tbh

Mine has holes in the bumper so I just used the bolts - PITA to measure. Remember, measure twice, drill once :D

I found on the front the curve of the bumper made the plates stick out at the edges, so I used the pads to hold the edges in, so the plate is secure as its screwed on and follows the curve of the bumper :)

Bog standard double-sided foam tape on mine. It's super strong provided both surfaces are totally clean and degreased. Surprisingly easy to get off though, screwdriver under it and a bit of leverage and it's coming off easily.
