World of Warcraft Cataclysm Thread

Q: Will I need the expansion to be able to experience the Cataclysm changes?
A:
When the Cataclysm occurs, it will occur for all players, whether they
have purchased the expansion or not--you will no longer be to play in
the original version of Kalimdor or the Eastern Kingdoms.

Ahh..that answers the question I had about what happens if people dont buy the expansion, whether they would still see the changed zones. Looks like people will need to make videos of the original zones soon for memory sake then before they cease to exist :)

How would that work when trying to do the old quests, in say The Barrens?

Going by the video, there was a bit of destruction there :D
 
So are they going to charge or what?

Because it'll be hard for them to keep people paying when they can experience the new content for free.

Unless you cant play the new races and level the new levels.

Yeah, you cant play the new races, or go to level 85, or visit any of the new zones (rather than revamped old ones), so you would still need to pay for the expansion if you want those

Lol, one of the racial abilities of the goblins are rocketbelts and their mount is a rocket car. Although, having just watched that part all about the worgen and their abilities and their appearance, I can see a hell of a lot of people making Worgen.
