Euro Breakdown Cover- RAC - Anyone used them?

As title really, off to Germany in a few weeks so looking around for european breakdown cover. My best quote so far for the week was £33 from RAC.

Direct line will do breakdown cover and travel insurance for £44 for myself and the mrs.

Just wondered if anyone had used RAC before, I think id feel safer knowing I was covered with a breakdown specialist rather than a car insurer?

What difference does it make, do you honestly think an RAC man is going to drive all the way to you from the UK? Both firms will simply contract out a local recovery agent.

yep although ADAC charge £70 for a years cover.
