The idiots never cash in on the fact that everyone and their mum owned a PS2. They should have an advert showing something like Gran Turismo 4, MGS3, god of war 2 etc, remind people of how awesome it was, then cut to GT5/MGS4/gow3 and be like 'YEAH, WE STILL ROCK!'

One thing Sony do well with their commercials is making you remember them, which really isn't a good thing when you think about it.

I don't see what is wrong with these adverts, seem to be a lot better than most other adverts I see.


Ok so it isn't going to be a classic like say the Dime Bar advert. , but it is much more interesting to watch than say a mymoneysupermarket advert and you will likely remember it which is the purpose of the advert at the end of the day.

You have done exactly what they want you to do with an advert, talk about it. If the advert was totally straight you wouldnt remember it or discuss it, with this one its doing its job. Much like the old Silk Cut/Nescafe adverts they led people to discuss the advert thus bringing the interest in the product.

Agreed, I know MS have been advertising the 360 left right and centre but I honestly can't remember any of their adverts specifically, yet I still remember PS2 advertisements clearly and that was at a time when I was heavily into the original xbox.
