Sigh, any suggestions.

Keep getting the above randomly while in game, sometimes after an hour other times it takes 5hrs plus.

Other games ive played have been fine apart from testdrive unlimited which does similar after awhile.

Usually tabbing out and back into game solves it but sometimes this will cause system to hang and need hard reset.

Have reinstalled windows and tried 3 sets of graphics drivers, temperatures are fine so i have no idea why its happening :(

System is:
E4300 @ Stock
4x1gb OCZ Platinum DDR2 800
Gigabyte 965P-DS4
512mb 8800GTS G92 @ Stock
600w OCZ Powerstream

DS4 wont let me overclock anymore for some reason, no matter what I try but every stability test under the sun runs fine in windows @ stock and every app I've tried and game installed has been fine except these two.

Enable Vsync and then see if it still happens during extended play. If so then I'd say either memory or shaders are on the way out. :(

Update on this:

Have lived with it now for awhile, BF2 and Prototype play fine for several hours before going on me, Testdrive Unlimited, Fallout 3 act up within 30mins.

Did a test other day with Fallout 3 and put everything on minimum settings and the game ran fine for a couple of hours.

Had some spare cash this week so got the Palit GTX260 that's on this week only and I have the same issue in Fallout within 30mins or so gameplay (put details etc back up).

So appears it wasn't my 8800GTS after all.

Will try different memory and PSU tommorow and see if that solves it if not it's another borked DS4 :(

What driver version are you using? have you tried 186.18?

EDIT: Also maybe try setting the PCI-e bus to 101Mhz I remember this fixing similiar issues for people with the 965 boards in the past.

With the 8800GTS I tried a few different drivers, with the GTX260 I'm using latest one.

Tried 101Mhz PCI-e bus today and low and behold I can overclock my CPU once more!

However, 30mins of Fallout 3 my graphics buggered up again.

Just testing CPU/Mem atm and it failed 32mb SuperPi, so going to take 2 sticks of ram out and try it again.

If it passes 32mb pi then I will try fallout 3 again, hope it is just faulty ram as that at least has a lifetime warranty!

190.xx drivers (not sure about the new version release today/yesterday) suffer from some bad bugs and memory leaks which could cause the problems - especially if they happen after a period of time...

This could also be a symptom of faulty RAM - when my g.skills were failing the game I was playing at the time (hellgate) would do the corrupt textures things after ~30-40 mins of playing.

Tried both pairs of ram on there own and they pass 32mb pi.

Just played Fallout for 2hrs with no texture corruption so it is my ram, question is which pair lol

Try OCCT or memtest86.

Its also possible the NB is overheating or dying - that can produce issues similiar to RAM problems - but errors are generally more random on memory tests if the NB is on its way out... usually dying memory will show up as chunks of errors in close proximity.
