Awesome moon shot. My dad has a high power mirror telescope, think I'll see if I can hook mine up some how.

Just got one of those remotes from the bay too. Pretty good for the money quite well made. Did take 13 days to get here though.

Cheers guys, but it was all the telescope ;) That one was with my old D40X and Meade LXD55 Schmidt-Newtonian (10"), My Father in-law also now has a Meade LXD75 Achromatic Refractor (8") for those who know there telescopes, so looking forward to setting that up with my D90 :D

@ ScarySquirrel LOL :D

cheers knowlesy, yeah its a Melanoplus bivittatus two-striped grasshopper.

Do you all use flash for macro?

if im going beyound 1:1 then yes i always do, if not then only sometimes, its good for a bit of fill in light and can stop harsh shadows.

Where do you position your flash, i cant seem to stop a dark shadow filling 1/3 of the bottom of the shot :(

Using the onboard flash or a flashgun? If the latter they usually have a built in wide angle diffuser you can pop down which will give a much more even light.
