I've got an exhaust I need to cut a section out and replace because there's a blow. Taking the exhaust off is not an option because it's well corroded on and I can't get the grinder in there so I've been looking at these exhaust cutter things. There seem to be three types:

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Has anyone used these before, are any of them any good and which is most suitable?

I don't see how you would be able to get one of these in if you can't get a grinder in? What size grinder are you using?

If you truly can't get in with the grinder, grind something else away so you can! Grinder conquers all!!

None of them. No.2 is the closest, but having effectively a pair of pliers to apply the cutting force sucks. Your hand will drop off.

The best sort are like No.2 but combined with mole grip pliers so you can apply a decent amount of tension without the pain. e.g. like this

Buy a new exhaust you ***** ! :D

but yea, the one dogbreath linked to is better

Cool, cheers for the recommendation.

If you have a compressor I've also had excellent results using an air saw for cutting exhaust pipe and other thin wall stuff. The stroke on these is so small that the blades don't tend to snag like it would if you were doing it by hand.
