Hi,

It's time I got rid of my current vehicle (L200 Pickup) and looking at my 10 car perfect garage, of all the realistic options the 635 Csi seems the most appealling right now.

What should I look out for? I know they can rust a little in a few places.

The M version would be a nice bonus but isn't essential.

I'm looking to use it most days but not for big mileage.

Talk me out of it or convince me to proceed please ;)

Check for rust in the usual spots, bumpers, valance corners, rocker panels, shock towers, sills etc.

The engine is pretty bullet proof; as long as the oil has been changed, valves adjusted and the oiler bar "banjo bolts" kept nice and tight.

Auto transmissions, if that's what you're looking for, are the first thing to go - 100K or so - but some people have gotten 200K+ out of them with regular fluid changes - revving auto in neutral is a generally bad thing to do for these, reputedly.

They can be costly to maintain.

I had a quick look at these at one point, I have no idea about costs if something goes wrong, but certainly tempting for how much they go for!

DO IT! In white! :D

Fantastic looking cars if clean

I had a Highline one of these many years ago, fantastic.

Get an auto for gods sake though and dont get a 628.

red is good too - spotted this one in cyprus on my holidays

Can you imagine the emotion you would have from driving it away for the first time? I can only dream...

Sure can :D

It needn't be a new one either, I'd settle for a 250GT (yes I know some consider it not to be a real Ferrari), in fact almost anything they've made apart from an Fxx would do nicely.
