Just wondering if anyone has the same setup or similar and has tried using it without the fan?

Im not wanting to remove it due to sound, Because its silent compared to the rest of the fans on medium. Im just wanting to remove it because I find it ugly.

All fans are on medium, So both the Top and Rear fan will be pulling air through it. Temps with the fan ive never seen go above 37c under constant load, So do you think it will be enough?

I would try it at the moment, But I stupidly bought another CPU and sold my current one before that one arrived, So im left with a CPU less computer.

what CPU do you have?

with my core i7 :P temps kept going up when under load, though whilst idling/light use, temps kept in the 40's-50's range in an Antec 1200

Well, it's a Freezer 7 he's asking about, which is a S775 cooler, so unless he's modded it it's almost certainly not an i7.

If you buy a low-end CPU, like an E5200 and run it at stock then they'll probably get away with it.

& yes its ugly but taking the fan off wont help if you want a passive good looking cooler get a
