Demons Souls PS3

what i did was ran to the bottom as quickly as i could and circled him anti clockwised and attacked the area where he was bleeding from, dont think i got hit when i reached the ground. Im on part 4-2 now and finding it bloody frustrating those bloody manta rays and the 2 gold skelis beside each other are killing me, lost about 80k worth of souls there.

If your wearing the thief ring the mantas shouldn't bother you, and then just draw each gold skeli out and deal with them one at a time.

hes a muppet u dont need hinm really. I almost killed Freke by accidentally falling on him - he had a go at me for attacking him but was altright about it.

Current problem. I thought i would be smart and try to get a world pure black to get stuff from black phantom SCVIR on 2-2

7 fresh spices
8 stone ephermals
200 arrows
most of my moon healing herbs ( i had around 100)

and countless deaths later.

the guy just will not DIE! if he gets low on hp when u are firespray or arrowing him he just heals himself. If you try to melee and count on ur flame protection shield protecting u from fireballs haha not his constant repeating fireballs.

even with total protection on he just lays waste to your defences.... i guess level 40 is too low to take him? Every boss demon so far in the game has been a piece of cake compared to this.

Yep the key BP's are rock hard. I heard for Scvir you really need anti magic defence miracle to stop him casting but as yet I haven't put world 2 in black I can't say for sure the best approach. What I can tell you is that if you beat him you get a very important and usefull item if you use magic.
 
And the amount of damage they deal is much greater now, for instance the laughing jester's (?) in 2-1 will kill me with one hit of they're fire attack now.
 
The black phantom on 2-2 is easy, make sure you are wearing the thief ring and stay on the platform running along the back wall as he can't hit you. Make sure you have plenty of arrows (150-200 to be sure) then shoot him until he gets close, when you can target him with R3 keep firing at him constantly so he is unable to heal, he will die.... eventually.

Hmm, 1-1 didn't seem that tough :p. Ran it fairly easily, didn't die once. Was fairly afraid that I would lose my 300k souls! Think i'm doing 2-1 tonight so I can get access to the Blacksmith and then i'm gonna move on to start freeing people such as Yuria.

Also, might be an idea if everyones up for it to set up a Demon's Souls chat room using the psn feature.

yep did all that Exactly as you described i was wearing graverobbers ring too :) i think i was unlucky coz i stopped to recharge MP and he healed himself :(

ill buy some arrows from that dude in 4-1 who sells em cheap.

Maybe need to up my magic power and longbow strength....and hrmm i think i can get some decent arrows from Crow in 4-1 :)

edit: was slightly dissaspointed with Hands of God weapons. I tried wearing em both (like boxing gloves heh) but it is quite tricky to parry everything with the L2 - if it does work then yeah you get in a critical strike. (R1)

i think i need to stick to my sword shield combo. (though sometimes i change to using a mercury rapier in right hand)

If you cant roll out of the way, then there are places where he gets stuck, like the set of bones on the left when u enter the fog, i was able to roll out of his way and magic and melee him to death so not sure of the other places.
 
Yeah getting him stuck seems the best approach lol... gotta farm for some herbs and spices now cus i ran out in my last fight with him and died lol... I die so many times just trying to get to him dropping down that shaft without dying is a nightmare!

Its text rather than voice, but its better than us all messaging each other :p. Plus it'll help make finding help easier for those that are online. I'll set one up in a bit and try to sort invites out.

I dont use as much herbs now since i have the regeneration ring and abjudicators shield, though i tend to not wear the ring that much, only time i use the herbs is when im nearly dead and no where to run.
 
Well just got the game today...and well for a temple knight who cant move very fast...it's pretty hard! Have died about 20 times already I think, several times by dragon breath haha
Phalanx seemed pretty easy mind with the halberd.
Still not 100% sure what Im doing though!

Oh and if anyone wants to add me, my psn name is tyranuus :)

I ordered Demons Souls last night along with Blazblue so im mega hyped to get into these. Ive heard nothing but good things and i cant wait to get some PS3 RPG-ing in me. No doubt i'll be pestering you gents once i get stuck hehe.

Anyway, its going to be a busy weekend what with Batman coming this week too.

Welcome to RPG of the year :) You might have had it a bit easier as a Royal as they get some decent starting gear and magic.

Love those dragons though :D I think one of the main things to learn is that dying is part of living this game ;) I am only bothered of dying now if i lose tons of souls. The game is not really unforgiving. It only seems that way at first. I love the level design and the distinctive world environments!! Each world has unique enemies that require different weapons and strategies to fight against.

And more than this its maybe possible the PvP could approach Ultima Online levels of awesome. I dunno coz im only level 41 when the max level is 712 :D But expect to be invaded and fighting other players sometimes and its harsh and you lose! But what a ride!

I remember i almost **** myself when i saw my first message on the screen that someone had invaded my world LOL (basically they coming to hunt me down).

I dont see any RPG this year beating this. I really dont. Because most other games are tbh not as intricate and unique as this :) Worth buying a ps 3 slim for ? you betcha!!

What would make this game complete for me is if it was possible to form online parties and adventuring groups of 4 or 5 and the MP was more beefed up and you were able to mp through all the worlds.


When i envisaged how dragons look and behave in a game (from reading something like Dragonlance) this game delivers the motherload...if only we could capture and fly on them ehh :D

I think this is what White Knight Chronicles is hoping to achieve.
