I agree - the thing with Diablo 2, is at the time, it looked good. The videos were awesome. If I was presented with it now though it may be a different story. Hell I still play C64/Amiga games (and own the respective hardware). I'd just like D3 to look nice when it first comes out - only time will tell I guess.

It really didn't, 640x480! (which they upgraded to a jaw dropping 800x600 for the expansion) The gameplay is unparalleled for that time of game but the graphics have never been good.

The game was basically Diablo 1. So it wasn't really unparalleled at all.

I must have had D2 later then because I remember playing it at around 800x600 but that's all my monitor supported in them days.

The movies were the first thing that impressed me!

what type of game is it ?

It's based almost solely around your character's skill progression and acquiring items that are increasingly more powerful and more difficult to find. You get to slaughter hundreds of monsters while doing the above and trash your mouse at the same time, awesome no?
