Hi all just a little question? Using atmo 4x1gig of crucial 8500 @1066 mhz 5.5.5.18. working ok now up one mark on vista exper.5.6.

Now also got 2x1gig of Patriot 6400 800mhz 4.4.4.12 (@2.2v? not sure want to run that high)PDC22G6400LLK. And 2x1gig of original Patriot ram that came with pc AW000096.@(2.1v) which from when did search gives it same as other patriot ram?

My question is would my pc run better on the crucial esp if i could get timmings tighter if not at those? Or would the patriot be the quickest? not sure what could do/improve on those timmings with 4slots/volts thing?

As far as i'm aware and have read off other topics 8500 is just overclocked 6400.

Also 8500 is faster with games and such due to the higher bandwidth, could be wrong though.

The 8500 should be faster (not majorly) regardless of its slightly slacker timings - especially as you have an intel chip as they're are meant to favour higher memory frequencies over tighter timings.

Yes, the 8500 is essentially OC 6400 memory that's been tested and guaranteed to run at 1066Mhz - but usually at the expense of a few more voltages.

Stick with the crucial. As already said, the higher frequency is favorable. The only thing you should tighten is your sig.
