Upgrade Suggestions

I'm looking at upgrading my PC & looking for some suggestions with a budget of appr £200. Intel or AMD Dual core sounds reasonable.

I'm not an extensive gamer, just want to keep up with the times, & futureproof where poss.

Currently have Asus A7N8X Deluxe MB with AMD 2600 CPU, 1.5GB RAM & Radeon X1550 AGP. 160GB SATA HD

Looking to speed things up a bit with XP or Vista.

Hi there, are you planning on reusing your PSU? If so whats it rated at? Do you need an OS? Finally what will you use it mostly for?

stuff future proof its an upgrade and this is the best money can buy @ 200£

I have a new 400w PSU in an ATX tower case. I have a dual boot with CP & Vista. I'm looking to upgrade the MB, CPU & RAM. Like to re-use the HD (Maxtor 160Gb SATA I). I'm not a high level gamer so use wise, I'd say is general use, Internet Browsing, lower level gaming, Video downloading & editing etc.

Its retail so yes it does

So that will save you ~£7 bringing it nearer to £200

Siumatfung: Is it not better to have DDR3 to pair with the AM3 mobo and AM3 CPU seeing as the CPU has an onboard DDR3 controller
