How many times you been banned?

I have tried to but have been unable to put my finger on it. Maybe it's just that after nearly 10 years a forum becomes boring? Or maybe the community has changed such that I'm too old to "get it" any more.

Maybe actually modding the forum killed the fun? It's quite possible, given the amount of **** I had to take with the role.

I dunno. Like I said it's a shame. I have so many awesome memories of this place. :(
 
Once, for posting in a 'post in this thread and you get banned' thread.

Dons still won't tell me why :(
 
Suspended 3 times I think. All but one for sig sizes. I used the f word from Father Ted which was deemed as swearing. :rolleyes:


Oh, 4. Was suspended for 10mins once after a crap joke thread. :p
 
I was suspended once for swearing. It wasn't even offensive swearing, I was referrencing a programming language (brain****). Also I was warned once for apparently promoting competitors.

Edit: The one time I was suspended I was also asking for a copy of company of heroes that was promised me for buying my 4870 which didn't come via the recently opened customer services forum. Yewen was kind enough to also throw in a copy of Tomb Raider: Anniversary for me which was nice, but because I was suspended I couldn't post until a week later by which time I'd forgotten and by the time I remembered I figured they probably didn't want an old thread bumped up like that in the customer services forums. But now seems convenient! Yewen, if you're reading this, thanks for the service. :D

I've had a couple of suspensions and a ban that was by request.

I did once get myself banned from an Insult based chat room for insulting somebody a bit too much. :D
 
None, so far as I know. Then again, I lurk far more than I post, so I could easily have been suspended for a fair while and never even noticed :p
 
A few times, 1 I know what for but the rest were unexepected and could never get anything out of the Dons. In fact, I think it was defending a race against the boss man himself, doesn't matter who you are really.
Brings me on the topic, why are people and moderators now not fully starring out swearies? Should have some of their own medicine! :p
 
No suspension or ban. Can't say it won't happen though it is highly unlikely it will occur due to swearing or generally looking for trouble.

Perhaps you could start a rival "OCUK-classic" forum.

And as far as I know I've never been banned. Though I do lurk hence my almost 4 year forum life time with only a hundred posts a year.

I'm quite surprised it's even that many.
