Shadow Complex looks incredible (XBL / Epic Games)

I'm trying to 100% this now but am having some trouble with some of the friction dampener obstacles. Some of them just don't appear to give me enough room to get up to speed. There is one on the surface blocking going inside a little building (to get a passcard component) and one in a little room (the blocking object is a container). I've tried jumping and all sorts of start points, but there just isn't enough space...help!! It's driving me nuts!!

For that one, there's a switch a few screens to the left that opens a hole just above the bridge.

You need to pull the switch, then run like the wind and jump through the hole.

Still going, not doing too much at a time as I want my moneys worth from this, I've completed Splosion Man and Portal in like the first day or two that I've had them. How do I know when I'm going to trigger the final boss as I want to get 100% items before hand! I seem to remember it saying before when I was passing through a section what I had found and what I needed to find......

If you walk into the main control room, and end up talking to the leader of the enemy, you've gone too far. If you just die then, you'll go back to the last checkpoint you went through and you can turn back and get the items.

I'm going to start my 3rd play through at the weekend. I'm on level 27 or so so bumping it up to insane and going for 100% on this one again should hopefully get me to a minimum of 40.

I'll be heading straight to the secret room to make it a little bit easier :p

Can I start a new game with my level'd up character after finishing it? If so how.

(Trying to get the lvl 50 achievement)

You just go to new game. It carries over the level you were at but not any upgrades. If you unlocked the secret room then that is open from the start of the any new game. I just got to level 30 and get a nice unlimited Foam gun reward :D

When you max out the items for a particular special weapon (foam/nades/missles) you get infinite ammo as well, but it doesn't carry over. :)

Yeah noticed that on my first play through. The speed at which you level up on Insane is well... insane :p Gone up 2 or 3 levels and Claire has just been taken away in the Helicopter.

This game is simply amazing, can't believe how much it's given me gameplay wise for the price!! I've just got the omega armour XOS-7, opened up 54% of the map and have 36% of items. Current play time is 4:30 and level 12.

I wouldn't even have a second thought about buying a sequal to this!! Come to think of it I'm going to make this the first game that I rate. :)

Is this the one where there is a big square container in the middle of the room, and a ladder above, and a save room to your right?

If so what you need to do is go left off the screen, jump over the gap, hang from the left side of the gap and use your foam gun to make a horizontal bridge over the gap, then jump up to your left on top of the container, run from there to your right, over your foam bridge, and you should have enough momentum for your Friction Dampener to kick in before you hit the crate in the next room. :)

out of curiosity what difficulty are you guys playing it on? My friend and i started it on insane and its not amazingly difficult but you lvl up extremely fast. Were also got our selves some graph paper and coloured pens :D and making a quality style rememberance map for all those coloured grates that we might forget about. completely enjoying it, great getting those cheeky sneaky headshots :P

Completed it, first play through with 100% items and map. Chuffed with myself that I only had to use a guide for one item and only because one square with a question mark in fact has two secrets.

Good fun, but by the end I was untouchable with 999 health, infinite everything and the fusion helmet. I was using the missiles instead of the gun for everything and thus the end was very easy :D

Now to do it on the hardest difficulty!

My only complaint would be that there wasn't much variety in the enemies, especially the mechs.

I'm hoping they make a sequel (due to the massive amount of good press it has received), and when they do they bring it out as a full release with a map 3-4x larger and as you say, more varied enemies.

Also make more use of the special weapons, I pretty much only bothered using them for opening doors and specific boss fights.
