Just tried playing around with the chip.
In the bios, I only changed the cpu volts to 1.36 and moved the fsb, results below.
1.36 is good for 3.9
I can't believe nobody here has tried this chip
I'M using the Asus P5Q pro to clock it.
As for not many people having them, I guess a lot of people already had E8xxx or E5xxx chips when the new E6300 came out so not many people got bought them.Did'nt know they were available yet. Just had a quick look around and £57 is quite a good price for one of these. Might get one to replace my poor clocking E5200.
Ive got mine e6300 running at 2.8 by just uping FSB, still on stock volts, didnt want to go any higher as I didnt want to adjust the ram ratio from 1:1
* sorry, thought it was one of the older E6300s. Forgot about this

Just got one of these to play with. At £54 it's a bargain. Yet another 45nm core that has stuck sensors though!!
Will let you know how i get on with it.

Have you tried the x10 multi? I found that better in my media player. 3.8 stable, but I don't remember what the Vcore was, I'm sure it was less than 1.36
