Playboy bunny - Why so popular among young girls?

Its nothing to do with the magazine as such, nothing to do with slags etc either.

You say that but Ive met a couple of girls with it tattooed on them and have seen quite a few women driving around with it on their car somewhere. The only thing the lot of them have in common is that they could all be fairly described as looking like slags :o.

So what is a playboy bunny then that is so obscene? Its a club hostess as far as I was aware? Sure if you want to tell kids the logo is about a Porn Empire you can corrupt them, but is anyone that stupid?

Jeez, I bet none of you guys that call women slags (whether true or not) have ever looked at any form of pornography, page 3 at all ever.... Double standards eh, I wanna look, but if they do it, they are slags!

meh its fashion.

Its no different that wearing Nike, Adidas, er and other such crap.

I personally dont care for such labels. Most of these girls prob have no idea what playboy even is.

A rather amusing thought:

Most men watch or look at pornography which features, most frequently, beautiful & desirable women. If we are all so obsessed with watching or looking pornography, and with young females (14+) obviously wanting to impress the opposite sex, it seems an obvious result that being a porn star is going to subsequently become a cool and outrageous thing to be, or at least that following the image of one is desirable. Yet now it is the men who thrive on porn that now complain on this trend? Perhaps people watch porn like to forget they are watching people after all.

Discuss.

No logo is going to make a Munter look attractive.

I thought the Playboy bunny symbol was a mark used by overweight female Corsa drivers to identify themselves? Or is that the "Powered by Fairydust" sticker? I forget.

They know, it's why they aspire to being vacant objects of lust which I find disturbing. Somewhere along the line, they're thinking that this is the thing to aspire to. It's just a case of stupid 14 year-old girls been given too much freedom and lack of consequence so they persue ill-conceived goals: "My ambition is to have my boobs done." etc.

It's all about vanity. Rather then these girls simply accepting who they are and getting on with the show, they get caught up in this crazy plastic cult where everyone seems only a vacant shadow of what they could've been. I dislike it because it sells people short and certainly isn't helping the world to be a better place. It's the mass-market equivilent of "Hey, look over there!" whilst belittling others regarding an unfortunate sweat-patch or bad haircut in an attemt to make themselves feel superior.

It's all about fragile egos and self-worth. They're just confused individuals who've been led astray.

Because its well marketed.

Spot on. The company were clever in starting to slap the logo on a whole load of marketable stuff that had nothing to do with them at all, school stuff like pencil cases and stationery and so on. Once it got into WH Smiths that was it. If you put the logo everywhere it'll spread.

I don't think it's that good an idea though, it just seems... pointless. If they know what it means they shouldn't really be into it, and if they don't know what it means then...well it doesn't mean aything.

Big money to playboy though, so who can blame them.

I know many who idolize the symbol, they know what it means but they're fat, slaggy and hideous, so it basically stands for everything they wish they were >.<

The irony being that the ideal they chase doesn't really exist. Such women are usually shallow, selfish and manipulative creatures who need a shovel to the back of the head.

it is a bit odd as it represents something they shouldn't be involved in at their age. but i think most just see it as another make and don't really consider what it stands for.

So say us men whilst we continue to watch 'megafap 8' with the curtains drawn...

well, so are the fat slags who worship the bunny, that's pretty much the only thing both groups have in common ;)
