After a quick bit of advice, hopefully there's someone in the know who can help.
I'm installing a new shower in my bathroom this weekend - replacing a square enclosure with a curved quadrant style one. I've built a base for it (about 4" high) as the waste pipe is above floor level.
The only thing I'm not sure about is how to finish off the edge of the base. I was originally going to use some thin mdf and mosaic tiles over it, but my concern was being able to access the waste again in case of leaks.
So is there a better way? I've seensome flexible skirting but its expensive and none of it matches the skirting I've got (just plain planks with a curved top). I've also read about cutting slots in the back of the skirting and forcing it onto the curve, but it doesnt sound very easy for a non-carpenter like me! Any ideas?
