How much to tighten Prolimatech Megahalem when fitting

Hi guys,

Just a quick Q - any advice on how much to tighten the megahalem down when fitting to the motherboard/mounting plate. There's no indication of what's the 'right amount' on Prolimatech's site:

Just dont want to **** things up by under or over tightening. Intend to apply the MX-2 thermal paste using the "line" method for a core i7, as indicated on Artic Silver's site:

Not too tight ! A method line is fine.

I've tightend mine as far as it will go. No problems, highest temp using Prime 95 and IntelBurn... 61.

I also used the Prolimatech recomended method of spreading the supplied paste

Its feel really tigh enough you will be able to tell I always tighten up then quater turn back works for me!

61 ? I take it as it 2.66Ghz not 4.00Ghz or 4.2Ghz ?

I haven't used the Megahalems personally, but all screw down HSF's I have used can only be screwed down so far anyway, so I just screw mine down as far as the screw allows me to.

Bulldog, what temps do you hit with your Megahalems at 4.2GHz?

between 76C and 81C max

Anyone with advice on method to use for MX-2 on core i7 with Megahalem, considering going with the line method recommended by Artic Silver.

Pretty sure most people just put a small blob in the middle of the chip and then put the HSF straight on top. This is how i did my last one and its been working fine for the last 2 years.

I think its a little over 2.66. Turbo mode set in BIOS. No other overclocking. Not too sure about these things.
