Hey,

Built my new pc yesterday. Was going well and installed Windows 7. Turn it off for some dinner, turn it on and start installing firefox then I get corruption on the screen, then nothing, then the system crashes. Go to turn it on and no display. Try it in a friends system and the same. The only way we can get a diplay is by using a VGA cable and then all it is is stripes of colours.

Bit gutted really and I can't understand what went wrong. Guess these things just happen. Sent a RMA request to Overclockers. Guess I have to send it back to them, they test it then send me a new one?

Well the person who order it for me got a email saying there was no problems.
"Graphics card passes all Tests with no issues, Tests Run: Crysis WarHead directx10, 1920x1200, Furmark, 3Dmark Vantage, World in conflict, there was no issues apparent."

If this is the case (I couldn't even get the card to boot in 2 different rigs) then does anyone have any ideas why it wouldn't boot? I'm going in Hospital for a op tomorrow so won't be able test the card when it comes for a while.

I know this may be unliky but the powersupplys might not be up to the job ? otherwise :confused::confused: no idea sorry

try replacing cables; ensuring the psu is giving the card enough power; a different monitor; new drivers

good luck with the op ;) try reseting the cmos and all that stuff. its possible it is the monitor (or both cables). did you meen the graphics card didnt work in your m8s computer? maybe there is a heat issue wich is causing it to heat up but again unlickly in both pcs. start a thread in the official ocuk rma thread and ask them what to do. its possible that they tested the wrong card?

why monitor?, and drivers have no affect till windows takes over

I agree with the powersupply through, but the chances of two being fualty or not powerfull enough are remote

Tried it in 2 different setups which means new PSU, cables, BIOS, Drivers, Monitor etc. The only thing that was the same is the PSU (not the same PSU but the same model and Watt. A Corsair 620.

The gfx card stopped working in mine so I took it out, drove to a mates and put it in his rig. The exact same problem.

well 620 should be enough, contact ocuk and say the problem persists. they will try and sort out any problem and if none works they will have another look at it.
