Ok

I've got an HP pc that needs windows xp re-installing on it, but i've lost the disc.

Anything i can do?

It did have a restore option but when using this is corrupted and now i need to start again.

I was going to stick windows 7 32 version - but they aren't allowing downloads now

Borrow an xp disk from someone and use your own cd key ?

i understand i will need xp home etc..

but what about service packs etc?

atm all i've got is xp pro and premium

need xp home

Don't know but I have a laptop (broken) with XP media centre and no disk, is there anyway to install that on my new pc. I only have an XP Pro and Home edition cd.

all sorted now - managed to get the system recovery working
