Clutch (like Carmageddon)

Looks interesting. How much did you pay for it? Looks like fun and i've been craving a carmageddon update/clone for ages now. Quick google search reveals that is coming out for xbox. No mention of a PS3 release though? :(

Glad there is someone else who likes it! It is a very enjoyable game! Slightly short and no multiplayer, but a lot of fun while it lasts. PC Gamers review of it was far too harsh.

That's stupid, no MP ? The funnest part of Carmageddon was smashing up your friends whilst piling into pedestrians

Because in Carmageddon they had green blood :)

They only had green blood due to some silly regulation saying it was too violent so they had to make them 'mutants' in some countries (Germany and the UK for a short time).

I've played Clutch, it's awful imo. I wouldn't rate it higher than a 2/10.

I can't believe they never took Carmageddon further. Obviously there was TDR2000 & that other one (shudder) but nothing like the original - no decent clones, no remakes, nothing. Then again, sometimes they let games die. Seeing the Devil May Cry sequals, I guess there's an up side.

Games need harder impact sounds when cars hit people. Carmageddon was way more satisfying because of the nice thud noise (then the 1080 the people would do in the air!)

didnt it change to red in later versions?

I may be wrong but IIRC the zombies always had green blood, you only get red blood from proper peds I think. I bought the Carmageddon Max Pack which comes complete with Splat Pack (expansion including pedestrian patch), mouse mat and keyring.

I agree, TDR2000 was really disappointing, car physics didn't feel right and it seemed a lot harder to damage other cars. I guess it's just because as video gaming has got more mainstream the game concept is probably tougher to sell to publishers.

My favourite game. If a decent remake that kept the theme of the original was made, I would snap it up.
I only ever once completed a full race. And only ever twice got every single ped on the map. Every other time was smashing the hell out of the competitors.
