Drink driving - got away with it?

ok, was talking to someone the other night and he waas saying he got away with drink driving after 6 cans.. now i didnt believe him but apparently if there is no alcohol on your breath (ie after brushing teeth) then you can get away with it..

was he lieing?

seriously..if i've had 6 cans im still stinking of it the next day after brushing never mind within a coupla hours.
 
If they used breathalyzer on him then brushing his teeth wouldn't help with the passing of that. But if they didn't smell alcohol on him and he was driving normally then he probably, sadly did get away with it. Drink driving is an incredibly stupid thing to do and puts the lives of other drivers and pedestrians at risk, it's not something I would ever do, condone or brag about.
 
You can still pass a breath test after quite a few cans. There was a documentary thing on TV a while ago that showed the presenter drink 4 or 5 double vodkas before he failed a breath test (he was doing laps of a test track at Milbrook between each double).
 
LOL as above really. Fortunately, the breathalysers aren't fooled by pretty much anything.

I would carry on telling you about breathalysers, but the long and short of it is that your mate is clearly a dick.
 
He probably tried one of those ones you get in pubs & clubs, I'd guess the Police version would tell a different story.

Anyway, the OP does not say what was in the 6 cans, which is a crucial point...... ;)

What a steaming great pillock. I hope you ripped his head off when he told you that because I would have. Because he's not just endangering himself, he's endangering everyone else he goes near while driving. It boggles the mind that someone could be so stupid and selfish.

Edit: and the fact he was BRAGGING about it... Jesus wept. :mad:
 
They did this on mythbusters and some things (like mouth wash for example) actually increased the alcohol content of their breath when they did the breathalyser again.

They found that NOTHING worked. The breathalyser can't be fooled.

Well that's a no-brainer. Mouthwash contains alcohol. :p
 
your mates a tool.
Breathalyzers analyse the air from deep with in the lungs. that's why you take a big breath. Nothing falls them.
Brushing your teeth is also unlikely to fall a cop and the smell comes out in your sweat as well.
 
tell him to do it again and this time prove he was stopped.

Quite apart from anything, after 6 cans brushing my teeth is the last thing on my mind... pizza, watching south park, playing games... christ even dancing would come above basic hygiene.

And what good would that have done? :confused:

Despicable though it is, nothing can be done about it now, short of waiting for him to do it again and calling the cops. Which would be well worth doing IMO.
