Spa-Francorchamps - BELGIUM Grand Prix 2009 - Race 12/17

My prediction:

Fisi and Rubens are on a similar strategy
Trulli, Heidfeld, Kubica and Kimi to go 1-2 laps longer
Rosberg, Webber and Vettel to go 3-5 laps longer.

The qually laps are so tight between grid places, unbelievable how such a small difference there is between the cars.

I hope Barichello pulls out another win :D

Yeah the championship would become a lot more exciting with a Barrichello/Webber win, but I really want Fisi to pwn :D

Barrichello or Fisi wining would be grate. webber is to far back and to be honest RBR are ripping though there engines. what are they doing different form Renault that is killing therm. at this rate both there drivers are going to take a 10 place drop.

WTF? Badoer 10kph faster than anyone else through the speed trap?
He got a huge slip-stream from Vettel up Kemmel... shame he binned it at the top... and then tried to drive out with half the rear end hanging off! :D

Fisi will be the lightest in the top 10, but it's still a fantastic effort.

I expect a battle between Rubens, Kimi and maybe Heidfeld for the win tomorrow.

Look at the gap between P2 and P3! that is impressive. Brawn will be fuelled to 20-25 as usual.

EDIT

even if fisi is fuelled for 6 laps. he should still be able to open up a good lead and still hit the points. also he had the opportunity to pit on his last fast run (if he was low i think we probably would have) also he didn't hang around on his inlap.

predict 15-18 laps.
You realise Spa is only 44 laps, right? ;)

I seriously hope you type on some kind of mobile device.

you lot are incredible - after one bad race and one bad quali you completely right Jenson off

He hasnt done brilliantly by any means but with so many races to go its not a right off by any means. After all he probably only needs to win one more race and collect a few points in each of the rest to win the Championship anyway

Why does Barrichello deserve the WDC any more than JB after he was so ***** at the beginning of the season?

It looks like it COULD be another race where maximum points does NOT go to a title contender, and potentially both RBR's are struggling, all good factors for JB whether he scores or not

Quick question - as those below 10th place on the grid didnt actually do the race fuel run, when do they have to notify race control of their starting weight? Is it during q3 or some time after qualifying has finished ?

Its a bit more than one bad race and one bad quali....

And P11 -> I dont think they have to state fuel?

The brawn of barrichelo not looking good.

No it isnt though - becuase otherwise he was getting the best out of the car possible (which therefore cant be blamed on him) due to whatever problem the Brawn has at colder circuits

Thats what I thought too - but as above all cars show their starting weight / fuel for first stint, but I wasnt sure when that changed ;)

edit looks like Jenson, both McLarens and Renaults are going VERY long (varying one stopping) which is really all they could do I guess, just hope there is a clean start

Rubens , Kubica and both Toyotas (as well as the suspected Fisi) look incredibly light, think Kimi will probably jump one or two of those at the 1st stop I would suspect

Rubens and Fisi are going to be looking at trying to get away from the pack as fast as possible to make that work (though the tyres seem to be working pretty well for them).

Heidfeld and Trulli look best placed for the win, provided characteristic averageness in race pace doesnt surface from each of them.... (or rain)

wet race will see the mclarens and RBR's doing very well imo. Love Spa, soo unpredictable always!

Lets just hope that if it is wet we dont get another 1998!
