Ok we have got it down to one of these 2 cars; they are both around the same price. Spec is almost the same except the first one has keyless entry/keyless go which is very nice but the second one has the M-Sports pack + CD changer.

This one has had one previous owner, the current owner is a nice lady who has taken good care of the car.

This one has had 3 previous owners the + seller. He says one of the owners was the proprietor of garage he bought it from 6 months ago.

I really like the second one because of the M-Pack and the alloys but the number of owners really puts me off.

The number of owners doesn't really bother me about the second one its the fact that he has put 6.5k on it in 2 months if you go by the quote that he had it serviced at 15k 2 months ago. If he has been putting that sort of mileage on it in the 6 months he has owned it it must have done hardly any miles in the hands of the first two owners, just doesn't seem right.

Well when I spoke to him he said he is selling it because his girlfriend lives 50 miles from him so he wants something more efficient.

I never used to bother about all the owners, although that is definately something I would be looking into these days. Although to be honest, the cars I was looking to purchasing were not as expensive as yours mind you :p

These days number of owners always leaves the question, why soo many ?

The amount of owners on something like those 2 cars you've got up there. I would imagine the previous owners were not able to run a thirsty straight six.

And to quote "he said he is selling it because his girlfriend lives 50 miles from him so he wants something more efficient"

Hes probably right ... :)

Loverly motor btw, if you reacon you can afford it for the miles you are/are not going to be doing

Go for it, low miles, and FSH, brilliant !!

I bet he really feels the pinch of a whole 50 miles if he has the sort of earning power to support £30k+ cars.

No comment on your actual question re- no. of owners, but make sure you get the m-sport version, makes such a difference to the look of the car.

On my current car I'm the 4th owner.

1st was the dealer
2nd was the company
3rd was the salesrep who worked for the company who liked it so much he bought it off them
4th is me.

the top one has the better alloys, so much nicer :]

regarding owners, the reason of something more economical for a 100mile round trip is silly. but that many miles in 2 months and getting something more economical is understandable, just hope that isnt all going back and fore to his partners!

I disagree with the Coupe and the Convertible. And SE with the aerokit looks better than the M Sport, the angular lines of the bodykit on the M Sport sit awkwardly with the otherwise flowing shape of the car.

Plus the important bits you buy an M Sport for - seats, suspension etc - are standard fit on the SE as well.

TBH it's not like these things are out of warranty, so they can't have anything major wrong with them.

Convertibles also tend to change hands as people have them for summer.

M Sport suspension is standard on the SE? Not according to: http://bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/carcomparator/0,,1156_160173800__bs-Mw==@bb-Q1AwNg==@sit-bmwuk,00.html - it isn't even standard on the SE Highline

Also, what is this aero kit for the SE? I do not see it listed as an option  (unless you mean a Performance accessory?)

Congratulations for picking a 320i when we are discussing 335i's. The 335i SE has M-Sport Suspension as standard, like I said.

Just to help you, though, as you clearly felt I was wrong and perhaps didn't know one end of a BMW spec list from the other..

Standard equipment

Wheels and chassis

M Sports suspension

Would you like part numbers?

I think the E92/E93 SE with Aerokit and High Gloss Shadowline look better than the M Sport on the outside. The M Sport bodykit just looks a bit... wrong.

Not being pedantic, but he said that the 15,000 service was completed 2 months ago. That doesn't mean that there was 15,000 on the clock at the date of service....

I don't really like either of them tbh, but if I had to choose it would be the latter.
