They did the same thing with a Touareg pulling a 747. The car was modified so severly in order to do the pull it was basically a completely different car wearing a Touareg shell.

It had a different diff from a V8 petrol Touareg to lower the final drive further than the lowrange box and about 7 tons of ballast in the car for aidding traction hardly a different car with a Touareg shell.
