I am thinking of getting a Phenom II 955BE setup (or wait for Core i5), i have had a Core i7 setup but cost is a major part, so cheaper the better.

Will more than likely be getting the new ATI DX11 card on release (depending on price) as i will be using the system for gaming.

If i go the Phenom II route which boards are best for overclocking and overall stability ?

Thanks

Asus crosshair 3 gets very very good reviews and XS boys seem to like them to good price £129 if look around...will be getting to keep I7 Pc warm in the winter ;)

The UD5P is a cracking board (mate got his 720 up to about 3.8 GHz on it), the UD4P is also meant to be great for the price. However, the MSI GD70 is meant to be the best AM3 board out atm

790FX chipset which allows for dual 16x lanes for Crossfire (although it has been argued that you wont see much difference at twin 8x lanes)

Its a solidly built mobo, with on/Clear CMOS/OC button on the mobo itself. And it lights up all pwetty.

Just google some reviews, all show the MSI GD70 as a fantastic board. Looking at the finer details, memory perf, fps, highest stable htt, usually, the GD70 tops the charts. If my next system is AM3, the MSI will be my motherboard and thats after me vowing never to have another after my last one! But as Superewza says, they are all great choices.
