Best choice 1156 processor

Hey,

Which 1156 processor will be the common choice, for best price/performance ratio?

Will it be the i5 775 or the i7 860? Will they both be cheaper than the current i7 920?

From the table I'm looking at: i5 670 is 32nm, 2C/4T; i5 860 is 45 nm, 4C/8T. Those two seem to be the best propositions, to me. They're also both listed with the same price as the i7 920.

<Looks it up...> 45 nm, 4 cores, no hyperthreading, but a fair bit cheaper than the i7 860. Could indeed be a good deal!

There won't be too much difference between them 2 i5 750's for gaming will there? Seems to be a large price difference for not much :S

The 750s is a low-power version of the 750, aimed at people who would be happy with a little less processing power in return for lower energy consumption. I don't suppose many of the people on this forum will go for that one.

The 860 and 860s share a similar relationship.

So the low power, slower CPU is that much more expensive? Got a pretty clear winner there then!
