Just keeping the 10 year old bimmer. My neighbours son just got a new 09 Astra on the older plate. This is to replace the 2-3 year old Astra they had before. Nice.

I feel for you. Not that what you're getting is a bad car, it's just quite a huge change.

I'm a bit worried myself when I do get behind the wheel of whatever I do buy. I expect it's going to be 150-180hp and petrol, so like nothing i've ever driven before.

Yeah, apart from the power downgrade, the Accord isnt a bad motor to drive, cracking gearchange, decent enough chassis & and a fair bit more refined, I must admit, I'll enjoy not having to go to the pumps as much. I needed a 4 door car for personal reasons, and none of the interesting cars on our scheme are available in 4 door.Plus it had to be Diseasal cos the company wants to cut our CO2 emissions over the next few years.Grrr
