Jesus, Magick read the sentence out loud it defies logic and even LAW to do that. Wouldn't that be a largely wide known fact as to be honest it's rather disgusting.

That video uses props and sets from the film - it's not real as most people have said the film is based on some events of the killer Ed Gein.

You have to be some sort of idiot to think this is real. They're actors in that video.

When I was little, TCM scared me so badly as I believed it was a true story. When I was around 14-15, I learned all the facts and now the movie just makes me laugh.

I saw the remake last night. It sucked. Basically, it was a vehicle for Jessica Biel's breasts to jiggle around in a vest which of course is no bad thing, but when watching it I noticed some bits that I remember were far gorier in the cinema (like someone getting cut in half) but maybe that's just how I remember it, I don't think Film4 cut things.

Also missing was Tobe Hooper's vegetarian angle (i.e how would we feel if we saw humans hung up on meat hooks, bludgeoned to death with mallets, stored in freezers etc) and the two killings that were taken from the original were pathetic in comparison and totally missed the point.

The first kill in the original is absolutely awesome, a genuinely shocking cinematic moment.
 
I can't believe nobody has mentioned The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's so criminally awful that it becomes almost brilliant.

Just don't watch one of the spin-offs, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers (1988). ;)
 
isn't the difference between texas chainsaw massacre and texas chainsaw massacre: the beginning that one of them shows you how he actually became the way he did, like takes you right back to the start before it all happend ... he had a job in a slaughter house cutting up meat etc

I agree. Not many of the older films can compare to the brutal torture and effects that they use these days. There was once a time that the Friday the 13th movies seemed gory. They're laughable now. We see worse on reality TV shows like Cops or Forensics.

I love the "Don't get caught in Rednecksville" movies, though.
