It's new high speed shopping trolly time again and these two two puddings have got on the list.

What's the difference between the two, is it just the body styling and interior ?

Cheers.

More than that but to much to list from phone, will reply properly later.

You look at Motors on your phone.

The general opinion is the sport is the one worth having.

He gets an SMS with the URL to the thread everytime "BMW" is mentioned. :D

That really did make me "lol"

You know, while I was mot'ing a BMW 530 today, and I noticed that the guy had this storage box with all the kind of things most old people would carry around in the boot (jump leads, de-icer, rug, etc etc) I thought to myself... I bet Fox from the forums has something like this. I worry that I think of Fox outside this forums :(

Yep, as above, cosmetics & suspension. By comsmetic, I am covering myself with:

bodywork
interior
wheels
badges and things that might say "M" on them

OMG BROWSING THE INTARWEB ON A PHONE LOL HOW SAD. Makes you wonder why everyone buys touchscreen phones with wifi doesn't it, perhaps because they are all sad morons

Have you got anything sensible to add or are you just posting crap again? :)

Anyway, to answer the OP. A Sport adds the following over an SE:

Anthracite Headlining
M Sport Seats
M Sport Suspension inc dampers, springs, ARB's.
M Sport bodystyling
M Sport steering wheel/gearstick
M Branded door sills
M branded 17/18 inch alloy wheels
Dechrome

It is inaccurate to state one is better than the other - they are different. It's suprising how different an SE and a Sport is to drive. Which is best depends what you want from the car. The SE is more 'wafty' and relaxing to drive and is a soothing way to munch miles or waft about town. The Sport has a firmer ride, less bodyroll, handles better and is the choice of the keener driver.

Drive both, pick the one you prefer. SE's are usually considerably cheaper than Sport's because the 'image' is that Sport = best. Drive both, pick the one you prefer.

Thanks for the insult - who are you anyway? I'd like to confirm there are no jumpleads, no de-icer and no rug in my boot. All that is currently in my boot is a litre of Castrol Edge, a spare wheel, the BMW toolkit and an ipod.

What's wrong with that?

I would kill for an iPhone or other usable internet device. Makes tube/train journeys, waiting at train stations, hanging around bus stops, sitting in doctor's surgeries and a whole host of otherwise tedious activities a lot more bearable.

I often look at forums on my phone, what a stupid thing to say.

Your final sentence was equally as useful, what a load of guff. It completely depends on what you want. Stick to GD maybe?

lol I'm constantly browsing on the OcUK forums during CIMA classes :D

What would you rather do? Listen to some bint explaining Group Account Consolidation for 800 hours or browse the web? :D

For me I prefer the 'wafting' along, I only use the car for commuting and long distance coverage A127/M25 etc, and actually find the M Sport E60 to look a bit too garish. SE being cheaper adds to the attraction also.

I have a Nokia N97 so its not as if I struggle to get online and squint at a tiny screen just to check Motors.

Plenty of us do it - can't see the problem. Ignore it.
